Lotabls, Thank you for your words! The outwardly visable "fabric" of any country is woven from the very threads of which yu write. Your country IS a great one. My comments this evening fall mostly upon the words of a young South Afrikaner boy (14 years old, I think) who, when asked about his new freedom in South Africa..after Aparteid ended...answered :" A democracy is not known for how well the government treats its majority...but for how well it treats its minorities." I think that, in general, your government in the US of A and my Canada do this. Each of our countries must accept the opinions of naysayers as their right to voice their thoughts, but THEY must also realise that if they are in the minority...they must yield to the majority...without lasting bitterness. This is the way of democracy. Have a good evening! Best to you and your family. TLK.
